Our Italian hybrid queen line was started from the very best Italian stock in northern California. Over the past two decades we selected for honey production, gentle temperament, hygienic behavior, and good spring build up in Colorado. They are open mated in northern California where we saturate the area with drones to ensure they are well mated. Most of our Italian hybrid queens are on the lighter side but not all.
